Going away... but not really

 A few weeks ago, we threw a going away party for our dear friends, the Gardners, who have entered the unpredictable and exciting world of the foreign service. We just learned that they will actually be staying in NY for the first 2 years, but at the time, we were bracing ourselves for something like Texas or Minnesota before going to Kazakhstan or Yemen. We are glad they will still be here but also glad to have an excuse to throw a party. A big thanks to Noelle for making food and the ever stylish and wonderful Marci, who also made amazing food and was really the reason this whole thing even happened. I just pretend to help.
