It really has been that long

In an effort to release the grasp the computer has on my life and stop wasting precious time checking blogs, facebook, email and whatever else, I have started turning the computer off from 9 am until 3 pm. And even then I don't get much of a chance to check my email or anything else until the boys are in bed. This is day 2, and I already feel better about life. Unfortunately, it just means I haven't spent any time on this blog in several weeks. However, I am in the middle of canning tomatoes waiting for the water to boil, so I have some time to burn.

But we did take a trip out to Ohio and Michigan over Labor Day. It was glorious as always even if the weather was less than beach frolicking appropriate. It certainly did not stop John from spending most of his waking hours playing in the sand. It was great to be with family, play in the water briefly, have a bonfire, roast some marshmallows and spend some quality one on one time with my grandparents. I love them dearly.

In Ohio, we spent a few days just hanging with the fam and spending time with my dad. John had a great time playing with his cousins, and I just enjoyed being around my sisters and step mom. The boys did awesome on the drive, so much better than I anticipated. It was a great way to spend the last week of Cam's paid vacation.

I love you guys. Seeing those pics made me miss you. lets get together. yea, yea, yea. Soon, please!

Awesome job staying away from the computer. I am on a similar plan, but didn't know it. I just had a third baby and, as it turns out, three kids means you NEVER get any computer time. Or at least hardly ever get any, because obviously if I didn't get any, then I wouldn't have read your wonderful post and I wouldn't be making this here comment.

love ya, Niks!
