Because I am not always clear...

We will be having another one of these in October, and we are hoping he (yes, it is a boy) will be just as charming and adorable as the one we already have. Here are some answers to the most frequently asked questions...

1. No, John is not excited. Rather, he seems to be in denial or just doesn't quite get it. He knows where the baby is if you ask him, but if you mention anything about being a big brother or me having a baby, he will most likely say no.

2. No, we do not have a name for this one yet. We thought we did, but then we questioned ourselves, and now we have nothing.

3. All things being equal (which they aren't) this pregnancy is almost identical to my first. However, because I chase a very active toddler around all day to parks, pools and other adventures, I am much more exhausted than I ever remember being with John. Also, I feel more uncomfortable, but maybe that has something to do with the record high temperatures we have had this summer. Also, I didn't think it possible that any baby could move more than John did in the womb, but this one has surpassed his hyperactivity in utero. I am afraid.

4. No, we (and especially, me) are not ready for number 2. But the best way to become good at something is to just do it. I know I am going to be thrown for a loop, and I haven't even experienced tired yet, but so be it. I am in my thirties and this is the decade of sacrifice. I will probably have a harder time adjusting to the new baby than John although it might not seem like it outwardly.

5. Yes, I am still running. My brother in law pointed out so candidly a month or so ago that I look weird running with this torpedo belly out front, but whatever. He's right. It does look weird, but at least I am still running at 32 weeks. Some days are better than others. Most commonly I am asked if it's uncomfortable. This is my response. Is running comfortable in general? Is pregnancy comfortable? You make the connection.

Cameron has told me on more than one occasion that I should have made more of an effort to let people know that I was pregnant. I didn't really. I figured most people would just figure it out over time because I am not the type to really make a public announcement or post ultrasound pictures. So this is as close to a formal announcement as I get... at 32 weeks. Go me.

Congratulations Kelly family!! Let me just say, two boys are great. The transition wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Just get John used to entertaining himself for awhile. Once Carver figured out how to work the remote for netflix, problem solved:)

Congrats again!! Another boy...that is so fun! If your #2 is like my #2, he has to be stronger and more active to keep up with big brother. They will be such great friends! I'm excited for you!

Hey congrats! Exciting news. I'm not good at telling people about things like this either. Well, it is different for everyone but having two was much harder than I anticipated. It was actually harder then three. Abby would cry and pull at me while I was nursing Luke. Everything just became harder than before. Then Luke cried a lot and I had some baby blues that didn't help either! I was miserable.

But like I said, everyone seems to have a different story. Hopefully yours is a good one! Good luck.

Boy #2 how fun. Congrats!

I am impressed that you are still running. The only thing running on me at 32 weeks pregnancy is my mouth going on about how tired I am. I wish you the best to the end. :)

Congrats!! I've been wondering if you would be planning to have another soon. I'm not around to see you in person and pick up on the clues. :) So happy for you. It'll be fun for your little boys to have playmates in each other!
