I'm tough to please when it comes to movies. I rarely recommend anything to people, but every once in a while I come across a beautiful movie that touched me and inspired me. A friend recommended it to us, and I'm so glad he did. Once is the kind of movie that mesmerizes you and leaves you wanting more so you cling to the credits just trying to make the experience last a little bit longer.You can watch the trailer here.
The music is incredibly beautiful. I wouldn't normally recommend an R rated movie because I never watch them myself, but this is one of the best films I have seen in a while. (It's an Irish film and rated R for language.)

I have loved this movie since it came out. The music is always playing at my house. I just love it.
I think I'm the one who told Mallory to see this movie (I can't remember for sure). Dan and I saw it on a date night and we were in love with it as well. We bought the soundtrack as soon as we could and listened to it over and over. Still love it when it comes up on my ipod shuffle. I was surprised to hear one of the contestants on American Idol sing the main song from this film but happy that it was going to get some more "media" so maybe more people would see it. Oh, and I was thrilled when the main song won best song at the Oscars!
