Giving Thanks

I love Thanksgiving, and not just because of all the good food. It becomes increasingly more meaningful to me the older I get. Where it was once a holiday of turkeys, Indians, corn, family and a lot of good food, it is now a holiday where my thoughts are turned to all that I have to be grateful for. I find that I do this more despite the holiday.
We had a wonderful time watching the parade from Cameron's office on 57th street with the Buckners and friends before heading out to New Jersey to be with the fam. The food was fantastic and the rolls were a hit. I also made a new salad with oranges, pomegranate seeds, goat cheese, arugula and almonds... all I can say is yum. I think Cameron had 5 or 6 servings alone.
The little man got to pick out his first Christmas tree and is waiting patiently to put on the decorations.
I could write a book about all the things I am grateful for, but the top of the list are my husband and the little man, my family, to be alive and healthy, to live in NYC and have access to so many wonderful things, my Savior and Heavenly Father, a wonderful and comfortable apartment, the Christmas season and all it brings with it, good friends who inspire, homemade chocolate chip cookies, wheat bread that rises and tastes good, finding new hidden talents, trying new things, making new unexpected friends, seeing my son's smile, happiness... I could go on and on. I am truly blessed.Happy Thanksgiving... and now Merry Christmas!

Oh, Nikki, he is so cute!! He really looks a lot like you. I can see Cameron in him, too. A good mixture is always good! How fun to watch the parade in person. I would love to have that opportunity some day!

We missed you guys on TG. And now I'm really sad I missed out on your salad, too. Sounds amazing.

Love to you all!
