Good, clean fun at the Clarks

I don't love how Halloween has become a holiday that girls look forward to as a day where it is acceptable to dress up like a hooker all in the name of being "sexy". Sexy nurse = hooker. Sexy waitress = hooker. Sexy rabbit = hooker. You know what I am talking about. It takes zero creativity and zero self-respect, but to each his own.

I like our version of Halloween better made fantastic by the hospitality of the Clarks and the ingenuity of our friends. We didn't have any "sexy" costumes paraded at our party but rather Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, the Golden Spike, monkeys, The Dow, Mary Poppins and Burt, Batman and the Joker, Harry Potter, Yoko Ono and John Lennon.

Thanks Clarks for a fun night of good eats, spooky treats and clean, and a venue for brilliance.

The Davis' swept the costume contest as Burt and Mary Poppins with Adelaide the Golden Spike coming in 2nd.
The Melgars in their Native American attire and an announcement... (Congrats!)
Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac giving away money and with empty pockets.
Harry Potter and his love Ginny Weasley.
Harry Potter and his nemesis Snape... who was actually supposed to be John Lennon but the wig and Cameron's cape made him look like Snape. Duel constume... brilliant.
The whole gang.
Biker and chic and bad mustache guy... although someone pointed out that they could have been Burt Reynolds and Lonnie Anderson or Dolly Barton.
Josh Davis... the best Burt since Dick VanDyke.
Levi and the Golden Spike.

I confess, I do not know what a Golden Spike is. Is it related to LDS? Please educate your Episcopalian friend! :)

The Golden Spike was part of the first railroad, I believe... I think Levi was Union Pacific and Rebecca was the transcontinental.
