I just increased my domestic goddess factor by tenfold last week by canning tomatoes. Thanks to Carrie for bringing over the big pot, Hepworth Farms for the 50 pounds of Roma Tomatoes and the grocery store in Jersey for having Ball jars. We canned our brains out. My mom would be proud.

Ugh...I'm SO jealous. I've had a hankering to bottle tomatoes and fruit for a couple of years. In New York. What in the world?! I'm so glad you found a way to do it...you are a hero!

Great job! I have an amazing tomato soup recipe that we bottle each year...so yummy to just pop open a jar for dinner on cold, busy nights...let me know if you want the recipe...oh, ps. you do need to pressure cook it, though.
