4 months too fast

"Did somebody say it's my 4 month birthday?"

I thought I would get some shots of the little man on his celebratory day, but Cameron had the good camera at work and the little man doesn't respond so well to the point and shoot. It's slow and bright. He would be smiling, but then the camera would start blinking and he would furrow his brow or start moving. Thus these photos are not the best, but you can at least see that he is on the fast track to walking, or at least he thinks he is. This kid loves to stand up and would do it all day if gnawing on my fingers didn't get in the way.

He is also looking more and more like a little boy every day. He just gets more handsome by the minute. He charms the socks off everyone he meets by flashing his toothless smile, which melts hearts and makes everyone's day. He can be in the middle of a meltdown and then someone will come up and smile at him. He flashes one back instantly. He was the center of attention when I was voting 2 weeks ago, was told he was gorgeous by a nice black woman on the train and couldn't stop smiling at the older Egyptian woman in front of us at Fairway. He's a good one to have around.
This was the only picture that captured his fabulous smile... too bad it's blurry and overexposed. Cameron, bring back my camera.
Pretty much I am in love with this little man. He makes my day every day despite how often he throws up on me and that he can be a crankypants when he's tired. I can't think of a better way to spend every day than to wake up to this little guy's smile. I have been feeling a little nostalgic the past couple of days because I have reread Cameron's post about his birth and looked at all the pictures in order to put a book together. I can't believe it's been 4 months already. He has recently stopped needing to be rocked to sleep and just wants to be put down, which is bittersweet. I miss holding him in my arms as he dozes off. But I know he loves me by the smile on his face when he sees me. May it always be that way.

Here's to the next 4 months and the next 4 years and the next 4 decades...

He is so handsome! We can't wait to meet him. Time does go by too fast and they grow up too quickly.

It is so sad how fast babies grow up. I wish all of mine would have stayed small forever. He sure is a handsome boy, I can see why he melts hearts with his adorable smile!
