2006 - Dating
This year, I wasn't planning on running because had the little man come when he was supposed to, it would have been exactly 6 weeks before the race and not enough time to train. But since he kindly came a couple of weeks early, I decided I could do it. I mean, I dropped 20 pounds, so everything should be back to normal, right? Not exactly, but I managed to finish my legs for a total of about 16 miles... I know, I am crazy.
We had another great year with our team welcoming a few new people (Martin, Brittany, David, Carl and Keila) and entertaining a few return crazies - Mike, Brent, Mercedes, Cam, Myself, Jane and Adrienne. We had a few injuries this season and some changes, so we lost Marcus due to a broken leg, JD to a broken elbow and Ann Marie to grad school.
It was an interesting dynamic bringing along the little man, but he did pretty well considering he had to be in his carseat for about 30 hours. But we finished, and we will probably do it again... hopefully next year I will be in better shape and won't entertain thoughts of giving up running on my last leg :)

WOW! You are crazy! I admire you for that....I can't seem to find 30 minutes in the day to workout and you just did a 2 day workout!! Kudos!
All I have to say is good for you guys! The mere fact of doing something like that boggles my mind but doing it that quickly after having a baby is beyond belief. That is awesome that you enjoy running that much. I will never understand that but can appreciate doing something you love. Way to go!
I can't believe you did this. Good for you. Most women can't even walk this soon after their labor. You are amazing.
I know this is completely the wrong time and place for this comment, but nonetheless: Nikki, you look beautiful in those pictures.
You really are crazy!!!! That is pretty impressive though :)
