Midnight Run in Central Park

New Year's Eve isn't exactly my favorite holiday. When I was growing up I was usually at home watching movies with my family falling asleep around 10:30pm only to have my mom wake me up just in time for the countdown with a glass of martinelli's in hand. As soon as the clock struck and I enjoyed a few minutes of fireworks on TV, I was off to bed. There have only been a few times that I have gone to parties, which are never really that fun. I prefer to spend New Year's with a small group of friends or asleep :) Well, this year, we did a 4-mile midnight run in Central Park with about 30,000 other people (or so it seemed). As soon as the new year hit and the fireworks started, we commenced our run. It was a good time and a good way to start the new year. I don't suppose anyone who knows me will be surprised by my method of celebration.

What a FUN way to celebrate!! Better than my way...working! I'm sorry we didn't get together. We left town again, too. Next time! It was good to hear your voice on my voice mail anyway! Happy New Year!

I'm glad you've found a way to enjoy the holiday, it looks like you're having fun! We were also usually asleep before the ball drops.
